Life is Fragile (Monday's Vigil)

“That which should distinguish the suffering of believers from unbelievers
is the confidence that our suffering is under
the control of an all-powerful and all-loving God.
Our suffering has meaning and purpose in God's eternal plan,
and He brings or allows to come into our lives only that which is
for His glory and our good.”
~Jerry Bridges

This Monday my heart goes out to the victims and families
 of those from Friday's Shooting.
I don't have a lot to say, except that I did not feel
I could just do my usual Monday post.

It's times like these when we realize the fragility of our lives.
(A Poem)

As well as the brevity of our time here on this good earth.

It is a time to acknowledge and affirm He is good.
(Post and Book excerpt)

Even while we tell our stories
(An amazing post from a Mom Blogger who was in THE Theater)

And try to explain tragedies of evil to our children.

It's a time to pray for those who believe.

It's a time to give thanks for all we hold dear.

As we praise our God.

I pray Lord that you will continue to reveal yourself in the days ahead.
Be glorified.
Thank you that you are a Merciful and Mighty God.

I wish to acknowledge the Victims here today.
Let us pray for their families. Each one.

I also lift up those remaining in the hospital, the officers,
health care personnel and all of the individuals who are involved in restoring
order, health, hope and care.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.
Now I know in part; then I shall know fully,
even as I have been fully known.

I'm listening, friend...in November I will not be replying so often, but instead slip quietly over to your place for a visit. ;)
