Live Out Loud?

I don't want to be perceived as loud, yet I long to live life out loud. I want to live every moment loudly outside, but still and quiet within my soul. Loud. The word bothers me. The sounds of cars hum by...loud. The sound of the dog snoring heavily...sweet. The sound of loud is the busyness of a day that wants to push itself in all around me, squeezing out margin, white space, room to breathe. Loud shouts, "Hurry up" and reminds me of all I am not. No...I do not want to be loud.

Closed eyes,
still,
breeze blowing bangs across my face,
facing the day with peace.
Quietness.
Calm.

I am linking up for the first time with Gypsy Mama for 5 Minute Friday!
This is a writing activity and community where you write for just 5 minutes- a drop in the bucket-
and join in! That was fun and challenging...and it gets the creative juices flowing!
I could write all day, so stopping in five is a good exercise in self-control for me!

Heather over at Mommy Only Has Two Hands is also featuring me on her blog today.
I regularly link up there as well for "What Have You Written Lately" (Blog Hop)!
Check her place out!

  5. Very nicely done, you got some great things in five minutes. I enjoy the quiet, and sometimes I need the noise. God knows best, even when I don't.

walk along the shore with me and leave your footprints in the sand-
I'm listening, friend...in November I will not be replying so often, but instead slip quietly over to your place for a visit. ;)
